Field Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina in May 2023

A field mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina was conducted from 2nd to 5th May 2023. One of the primary objectives of the mission was to engage with the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina to enhance coordination and ensure effective planning for future initiatives.

Furthermore, the delegation held discussions with representatives of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Sarajevo to determine the subsequent steps, following their previous meeting in March. This ongoing dialogue aimed to foster continued collaboration and implementation progress.

Discussions and coordination were also held with the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) and the European Union Delegation (EUD) to ensure complementarity with other interventions in the region. This collaborative approach aims to maximize synergies and avoid duplication of efforts. The outcomes of the discussions and coordination are expected to contribute to the overall progress and future plans in relation to the EU integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
