Chapter 5
The acquis on public procurement includes general principles of transparency, equal treatment, free competition and non-discrimination.
In addition, specific EU rules apply to the coordination of the award of public contracts for works, services and supplies, for traditional contracting entities and for special sectors. The acquis also specifies rules on review procedures and the availability of remedies. Specialised implementing bodies are required.
